Mr. Massawa Holds BSc. (Science) from the University of Nairobi

An entrepreneur passionate about Technology, Real Estate, Financial Services, Interior Design, Creating new things and implementing business ideas.

He has four (4) years’ experience in the agro-chemical industry with Shell Chemicals East Africa Ltd., a subsidiary of Shell Group. Exposed to retail sales as a Sales Manager and Retail product development, 1987-1992. He has worked in industrial chemicals and industrial raw materials sectors with the EniChem Group as the Marketing Director from 1992-1995, reporting to Kenya and Italy offices. Exposed to different cultures, races and business practices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

Mr. Massawa has gained multi-cultural exposure in working with different races and networking with different countries for former employer, Standard Chartered Bank gained through visits and work attachments to United Kingdom, Singapore and Dubai. Handled the formulation and implementation of business plans, budgets and strategy for Retail Banking between 1995 to 2008 in 13 African Countries among them Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. I also worked on a USD 23 Million refurbishment of 31 Standard Chartered Bank branches in Kenya as the Project Manager between 1995 and 1997. He was also involved in the Bank’s implementation of a new computing system from 1996-1998 as the Work-Stream Manager rationalizing staff on the same. The total project budget was USD 32 Million.

He set up a property development company – Future Homes Ltd. - and developed one of the first gated communities, a 27 home project in Nairobi from 2008-2012 as a joint venture worth USD 10.8 Million. Also set up an empowerment company Space Global Ltd. and a Technology Company, Pillar Technologies Ltd., to address the high levels of un-employment and poverty in Kenya. The company was involved in airtime sales for mobile phones and related telecommunication products. These were sold through a Multi-level marketing model which gave him an opportunity to practice my leadership skills, motivational and business training as well as mobilization skills between 2008 and 2017.

He possesses excellent skills in project implementation and management with training from Kepner-Tregoe, U.S.A. having gained stellar Technology management and application skills, people management skills, mobilization and marketing skills. The skills have been acquired through various trainings, seminars and workshops organized by my former employers over the years. He also has experience and skills in working with consultants from various industries such as Building and Construction, Information Technology, People Development and Financial Services.
